When Mike Richards, Jeopardy!’s choice to replace the legendary Alex Trebek as host of the show was ousted several weeks ago for insensitive comments he made several years ago, I had planned to let it slide.

After all, I had recently published an article regarding former Jeopardy! contestant, Kelly Donohue ~ who was unjustly accused of making a white supremacist symbol with his fingers when he was clearly signifying his third win in the same fashion he had signified his first two wins. To remind you, this past April, nearly 500 former Jeopardy! contestants, after reading the online accusations being made against Donohue by Jeopardy! fans, signed and wrote a letter to Jeopardy!, chastising Donohue and demanding an apology from him ~ which they received. In the letter, they also told Jeopardy! executives how they should run their show, namely, what terms they should no longer use during the game lest anyone gets offended. One of those executives was Mike Richards, the show’s executive producer and former executive producer of The Price is Right.
